Just bought a truck but dashdaq is missing

Ok heres the deal. Im picking up a new to me 08 f250 tomorrow. It has dpf delete , air intake , egr delete and is supposedly on the 275 tune from spartan. The dashdaq was stolen when the truck was in for service. What are my options as far as being able to change tunes for towing or just to monitor things? What really sucks is the stock tune (although unusable due to the deletes) is locked in the dashdaq.

Did you own the truck before the tuner got stolen at the shop? If you did I would tell the shop to replace it since it was at their shop or call the insurance company and have them cover it. If you didn't own it and are still buying it, I'd tell them to knock some money off the price of the truck. It's a pretty big deal that's not cheap to fix. If not, you would need a new tuner. For being compatible with the tune it or putting on new tunes, I don't know.

Probably. I would think that you could read what tune is in it with a the tuner. Then have Spartan write you up some new tunes. Probably would never need a stock tune from the dealer b/c who likes stock.

Not sure about 6.4 tuners, but I would assume you need to get one that is not VIN locked if you are looking used.

In order to get a stock tune back ford has to reflash it I believe. From there you would need to buy a new tuner. Buying a used tuner won't fix anything. You could get it reflashed by ford and then buy a used tuner but buying a used tuner will not fix the issue until its returned to stock

Believe it will be a new liecense and if I remember right it will cost $699.00, and Mick can set you up with a stock tune.
