Strange, we sell hundreds of the Diamond Eye turbo back kits and havent really had many fitment issues to speak of. If there were all these issues you speak of, DE would get them taken care of quickly.
The "best" down pipe is a matter of opinion. Performance will be the exact same from one to the next as they are all 4" mandrel bent, two piece. MBRP also makes a very nice setup.
Also, Diamond Eye offers two different turbo back configurations. There is turbo back with flanges and just regular turbo back. We only sell the the turbo back kits with flanges so the factory 2 bolt ball/socket flange is retained.
