I just purchased and in the process of installing this afe intake kit. This kit comes with a pre filter. Do you guys use the pre filter?

My afe didn't come with one, if ya don't want it I will buy it off ya. You don't need it, I believe it just keeps the big stuff off the filter. Let me know, thanks

Definitely use the pre-filter. It will keep large debris out of the filter pleats and extend filter cleaning intervals.

makes it alot easier to clean too because alot of the big stuff gets caught in the drooves and makes it easier on you when cleaning it. prolly just once a month take the prefilter off and knock off the debris.

are all afe filters the same size when ordering a pre filter???
