Up Pipes
I have a failing head gasket so the cab is coming off. I know some people have had up pipe failures and others don't (I haven't to date but I didn't have a head gasket problem until a week ago), but I really don't want to have to pull the cab again so I am thinking of upgrading the up pipes and manifolds while the cab is off. If anyone has tried any of the aftermarket ones, I would love to hear what ya think of them.

What about steed speed manifolds and custom up pipes? I think thats what Erik from PTP is running.

They would be great on a truck with big turbos and big fuel, but they are overkill on a basically stock truck. |

Oh ok. That makes sense. If i ever have to i will just go with 6.0 manifolds and up pipes. I dont have plans for crazy power. Just reliability.

Yeah. $1,000 just for manifolds is steep when you only make 550-600 at the most. Those manifolds require custom up-pipes as well. Not a cheap option by any means.
