New to tuning and H & S

I've got a mini maxx and downloaded the trans tune s2l off the website and chose hot damn instead of easy. Was this a bad idea as I haven't even loaded anything to my truck yet.

I wanted a good trans tune but wonder if I jumped the gun a bit by doing a download before I even put any tune on my truck.

I hope to load the tuner on the truck tomorrow for the first time.

you can still change to different tunes and different tranny tunes.... so if you dont like what you loaded you can always change it..

Reload the s2m, and the default tunes. The ez tunes suck. The hd is nasty, keep a light foot and you will be ok.

is s2m similar to stock. I do a lot of driving around 45mph so i want the early lockup.

Also I looked for the power source. The manual says solid purple wire under the dash left open ended, I have a purple/green, a brown/green, a solid yellow and a solid brown. It's a 2010 so I hope the book just doesn't cover this year.

Does anyone with a 2010 have the same wires and can you tell me which one is the ignition wire.

S2L locks tc in 5th at 45 mph on my truck.

There are a couple of different wire bundles. Look for the one tucked up under the dash right above the pcm. It will have heat shrink black tip on it.

I have a 2010, & i have the solid purple, it is only hot with the ign turned on.

what is the purpose of the purple wire hookup?.....with my insight plugged into the obd-ll port,it powers up when ignition is on with no purple wire hookup....nother question... would it be requ'd [the purple wire] with an xrt pro?
