Install thread and question.

So my Mini came in and iv'e been playing with that and (hold on the Big brown truck is here!!) OK, S&B just arrived. My question is can I install the S&B without the 5" Diamond Eye, and keep running the DPF present tune on HOT? I figured it would be a tad more efficient and a good way to break in the filter. Pics of my Mini Maxx mount paint job to come. I got a pretty damn close match to the silver on the Lariat interior. Others who have tried to match feel free to post pics and the process you used.

Never heard of breakin in an air filter.
Run it with the dpf on tunes and you will be fine, you will be alot better when you put that 5" on.

Well some filters are better when they are a tad dirty and figured I could give the air monitoring system a head start lol.

well with DPF on your truck it is way less efficient, break in an air filter? ok whatever.....run a mild DPF present tune until that thing comes off....it can clog up and start increasing your back pressure.... and overall start running crappy so yeah, put the intake on and enjoy, just go easy until the DPF come off. good luck..

I'm taking an 800mi trip in the morning to Florida, so I figured the 76MPH cruise control ride would be fine with everything installed and on HOT. 98% of the time it wont be demanding much fuel so it "should technically, be more efficient on HOT while cruising". In city driving I will set it to Mild.

1st tank in NC, 2nd in GA, and final in central FL. $600 round trip always. I also came back to central FL, then back to south Fl, and I'm on my way back to NC now. $800 total in fuel lol.
