SCT
ok so all my parts came in last weekend.. full 5" diamond eye exhaust SCT livewire w erics custom tunes and S&B cold air intake w/ cleanable filter. Huge mileage increase, just on the stock street setting and all kinds of power.... so how about turning it all the way up and see how it goes? HOLY !##@%$#^%^%^ BLACK smoke
and I have never ..ever.. had a one ton four door dually that weighs 13,000# smoke the tires off that easy... way impressed. now here's the but.. I have a code that comes up every time I mash it. gonna look into it tomorrow. the firs time it happened it went into limp mode had to shut it off and open the door then start it back up and it went away but it does it alot. over boost? no idea yet. either way.. crap this thing is fun to drive .

ok so I looked up the codes on the interweb and found U0115 is a lost communication w ECM/PCM secondary (SPCM) TBC trailer brake controler? wtf... and the other one was a U0100 lost communication wECM/PCM-TCM so I returned it to stock, cleared the codes and then turned it back up. no codes yet we will see what happens when I go out again.

Email Eric and tell him what it is doing. He should be able to fix it via the tuning

So I got a hold of Eric he said it was just random codes that you get in the flash process, told me to say yes to the egr delete and they should go away quicker... now my other new problem is when I turn it up to Erics street or race tune and mash the throttle it goes into limp mode and no power at all so I shut it off the first time and let it set for a min .... started right up no problem power is back.. Then yesterday same thing on race tune next to a chev in town, he smiles and launches, I mash it smoking the tires as i leave him behind everything looks great on the gauges. three seconds after I let off it .. goes right into limp mode again... grrr wtf.

not cool, let us know how it pans out. I don't know if this makes a difference, but every time I change tunes I usually baby it for a couple hundred miles until the truck "learns" the new tune... |
