New Power Stroke owner need EGR advice and power tuner setting advice

Well I came to the powerstroke world after owning 2 dodges. Love my new truck but can't stand the fuel mileage compared to my 05 cummins. Did some research and bought the cat dpf and muffler delete kit, coupled that with an H&S xrt pro tuner. My goal is 20 MPG highway with no load and 11 to 12 MPG towing a 10000 lb 34 foot camper. Was told on the phone by throughbred diesel not to worry about the egr delete kit since the tuner turns that off. Is this true or should i ditch it. If so what kit from who should I buy. Also on the tuner is it true you will get better mpg on the mild tune over the stock tune. Haven't put any miles on the truck yet and am looking for opinions. Gotta say I love the trans in this ford great when towing. If this truck is durable I will never go back from a ford.

yes you will get better MPG with the higher tune. I dont know if i would run it while towing since you dont have gauges to watch your egt's. Im not to sure it that tuner turns the egr off. I would delete it tho cause they can break and cause a loose of fluid. They say you have a little better throttle response.
