4" downpipe EGT drop?

I know that a new 4" downpipe will drop EGT's, but Im looking for some real world numbers on how much it dropped egt's? 100 degrees, 150 degrees? I want lowest EGT's possible out of my truck with out going with a new cooler.

I already have a 3" CAC tube on my truck. But if I can get 150 degrees with the two of them combined thats not bad. New DP is only $140 give or take a few dollars. Anyone else have any info on this? I know there has to be more people out there that have put in a 4" DP.

I don't pay attention to my EGT's that much because they aren't a problem, but something tells me that going from a 3" ID crimped pipe to a 4" ID free flowing pipe is going to reduce EGT's enough to make the swap worth it.

Avoid Diamond Eye unless you don't mind denting up your downpipe to keep it off of the firewall. I went with a Street Diesel (powerstroker67) downpipe because the Diamond Eye rubbed so bad. Paid quite a bit more, but it's worth it. You can also get it ceramic coated, which keeps the heat inside the pipe a lot better.

I dont pay attention to EGT's around town, but while towing I pay pretty close attention. I can get to 1250 pretty quick in the 210 tune. It doesnt get much above that ever, but it would be nice to drop them 100-200 degrees. I have heard the diamond eye DP doesnt fit real well. I was looking at the MBRP pipe. Anyone know anything about the fit of it? I will look into powerstroker67's pipe.

I run the MBRP downpipe. The fit is great and installation was simple.

2008sleeperstroker, any input on the real world egt drops or did you do it at the same time as the full exhaust?
