egt's

Ok sorry for the silly question I did hit the search button but didn't really find the answer.I just turned up my sct livewire to the performance tune,I tried taking the dpf off but was having a difficult time with the band clamp and need the truck for work tomorrow so thatll have to wait till Saturday.Anyway watching the egt's on the sct @ wot they went to about 1280.my question is how high is to high?thanks in advance for any input.

1280 isn't bad. 1400-1600 seem to be okay as well as long as you don't hold it there very long. Above 1600 needs to be in short bursts. You don't want to hold it there very long.

Question: Are you running a DPF delete tune with the DPF still on the truck? If so, I don't recommend doing that.

Thanks for the response Jeff. After driving it again it did touch 1500 but came down as soon as it shifted. The tuner gives me the option to run with or without the dpf I have it programmed with the dpf this weekendill get the giant POS off and reprogram it without it.Thanks again for the input.Sal

What I did was put a strap to the exhaust after the dpf, then a strap from dpf to the fram toward front of truck then slowly cranked it till it came apart.
