Sct live wire
I am just getting back into the powerstoke after abandoning them due to 6.0 warranty issues . Can someone give me a quick rundown on what the pros and cons are pertaining to the Sct Livewire. If I have read correctly it does not shut off with the ignition key? Is that correct. The guy that works on my truck already has it at his shop, should I send it back and is so what is good for plug n play and fuel mileage? I got all my high power drag racing out I me after buying 4 high dollar dodge transmissions and to many parts to get and hold 600 hp. I just want reliable and fun but fuel mileage if I can manage to keep my foot out I it ;0) well maybe be able to torture a few of the junior wannabe kids with the pissed off weed-eater cars on occasion lol

Yeah the only down side to the livewire is the size and bulkiness and also like you said you have to manually shut it on and off when alot of times I just left mine on. Also compared to other 6.4 tuners like h&s it is not switch tunes on the fly.

By not shift on the fly you mean I would have to stop and manually change tunes?

Yes, h&s is the way to go on these trucks.

Most would consider the sct a noncontender for the 6.4. Spartan and H&S are the two tuners you should look into. Both are great and it is just a matter of personal preference. I went with Spartan and have never regretted it. The dashdaq is a great monitor and it handles everything you need it to do ... not to mention the number of tunes you get out of the box makes it the best choice imo. But you can't go wrong with H&S either, just research both and you'll be happy either way.
