SCT help

I have an sct livewire that I bought from someone it supposed to be new.I tried to update it as its 3 years old and the computer says no driver installed.I left it with a friend who is helping me with it he's calling sct tomorrow but I didn't see a part# or serial # didn't come with anything.Is this the norm?Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.Sal

Sometimes if the unit has been dropped or hit pretty hard the flashcard becomes dislodged within the unit. You have to open it up and push the flashcard back into the unit.

There is a sticker on the seam of it that says warranty void.What does that mean I thought it could be so you didn't open the unit.

Yeah its there on mine too the flash card is onthe right side of the unit once you open it if you decide too.

Thanks Stinkbug ties out the usb cable was bad sct tech support was awsome in getting me updated.putting tune in now thanks for the input.
