AFE Pro Dry S intake
Does anybody have one of these or know someone who does on the 6.4 I just traded for an 08 and would like to get one if they are good. I am hoping it will let me hear the turbos a little more i just dont want any check engine lights coming on or anything. Had an AEM on my 06 never had any trouble and truck sounded awesome with it. I just hope to get the same results from the AFE.

I recently installed one on an O8 6.4. Although it improved overall performance, I got a check engine light after 2000 miles. I have been in contact with the technical service line at AFE and they are aware of this issue. They assured me they would be sending me an "updated intake tube" and they assured me this will solve the problem. What they were not able to answer is what to do with the check engine light issue. One thing I have found with the 6.4 they DO NOT respond well to modifications. Learn from me, be careful what you install on this engine, it's not like it used to be.

thanks for the replies guys, I am wondering if the dry system is why his check engine light came on or not. I guess it is different than the Pro Guard 7 version but i don't know that either. I really want to put on a dry filter really bad but i definitely don't want check engine lights on. Maybe i will give them a few more months to get the bugs worked out of the system. I had an AEM dry on my 6.0 and never had a bit of trouble with it, they just don't make it for the 6.4 yet i don't think.
