I've got a 08 F 250 that i'm about to put a H&S XRT pro on with DPF delete and EGR delete. I'll be pulling a race car trailer on the weekends anywhere from 30 miles to 200 miles. My question is should i be worried about my EGT's getting too high? and should i get an EDGE insight to monitor them or what?
Thanks
Why not put a Minimaxx on instead of the XRT Pro and get the tunes and the monitoring in one package. I am very happy with mine using Damn Hot 300 tune. Just towed my 3500lb camp trailer 200+ miles including over a mountain and my EGTs were below 1100 most of the time and touched 1200 when I passed my son in his Ranger going up hill, while towing:woot:
well you see i got a real good deal on this xrt pro. Did your truck do the defueling thing? i think that's what it is
but i had to get a programmer and delete kits on my truck asap because of a clogged up DPF filter and a malfunctioning EGR
If you are worried about EGTs, you can either turn the tuner down to the lowest setting or get a monitor. The Edge Insight CS or Edge Insight CTS are both great options.
