Pulled the Plug big time

After hearing all these great stories about unleashing the 6.4, I couldn't stand it any longer.

Presently my 08 is bone stock. I had already bought the Banks intercooler, Banks monster exhaust and Banks Ram Air kit, but had not installed any of it.

Thus today with Nate's assistance from PTP, I bought the H&S Mini Maxx, dash adapter, Diamond Eye DOC/DPf delete pipe, MBRP 3" IC pipe, and the AirDog II DF-165 kit. I should have it all by Friday. I can't wait to get started.

I plan to install the MM with no power first to get a baseline of all the readings. Then I will begin adding one item at a time to see exactly what improvements I get. Only exception is I will add the ram air and dpf/doc delete at the same time. One without the other is counter productive to me.

As I get my results I will post them to let everyone know what is happening. I hope it is going to be a good as I anticipate it will be. I don't race my truck but use it as a DD and towing my 37' 5th wheel RV/toy hauler.

I towed it to Virginia last week and averaged @ 6 mpg towing 21K GCVW.

Much more to follow. Film at 11!

Again, Nate thanks for the assistance. Be talking to you soon I am sure.

Be glad to. I have heard nothing but good things about upgrading the IC pipe.

I will. The EGR delete is on the list. My goal is to get at least 500K miles from this puppy. Then maybe rebuild and start again!

I can't find a 6.4L IC pipe on MBRP's site. However it shows a 03-07 in the catalog with 6.4L listed beside it. Is that the one you are using?

Go to their site and in the search box on the left side of the screen under the products tab put in IC1196. The part will come up then. It is for the 08-10 6.4l.

Addition, after I downloaded the catalog it is the same part number. Interesting the 03-07 had the 6.0 while 08-10 had the 6.4. The same pipe must fit all. They just haven't updated their catalog.
