SORRY!! Another MiniMax (Hot Dam) Question

So I downloaded the Hot Dam tune on my Mini Max and something does'nt seem right. The shift point beteween 4 and 5 is really rough but I expected that and will play with some of the transmission settings. My concern is the power or lack there of. It almost seems stock compared to the standard 250 dam tune I've run for a while as it seems to be much stronger and throttle response (spool) is much quicker. Any thoughts on what I need to do to fix this or should I just go back to the dam tunes? Thanks in advance.

PS-It's now blowing chingos of heavy smoke when I get on it somewhat.

In my experience it seems that they made the throttle a little less touchy (good thing) so it may feel slower at less than WOT. I lowered the back of my F350 the other day with a set of Carli mini packs thus eliminating the blocks and the overload leafs altogether. I took the truck out to see how it planted the power. With the stock rear tires aired down to 40 psi and with a slightly boosted launch in 2wd I melted the tires for 200ft+ with no signs of wheelhop. This is on the newer 250 setting that feels very powerful at WOT. I did run the 300 tune for a few days but went back to the Hot tunes for alittle better driveability and peace of mind.

I switched back from the 300 for this reason. There seams to be a lot more smoke while just driving around with light throttle. The 300 does have alot of power but you really need to give it alot of the go pedal. I use the 6.4.21 Hot Damn and find it to be the best tune for my truck.

Okay, now here's a very lame question. How do I return it back to the standard Dam setting? I had a shop load the hot dam as I suck at and hate computers. Can I do just by sitting in my truck or do I have to do (or have done) another download with a computer? Tks again.

If you want to switch from the Hot Damn 300 to the mild click on this and download http://www.hsperformance.com/updates...mm_f008_25.zip . Unzip the files. Take your micro sd card out of the mini to a computer. Copy and paste the new files to your micro sd card from the mini. The computer will ask if you want to replace the current files say yes to all. Put the card back in the mini go to your truck and hit menu and go to the bottom and click update firmware the mini will restart and then go to menu and hit install download and then change settings. It will install the software and you will be all set. Here are the instructions from H&S Mini Maxx Update Instructions: 6.4L Powerstroke - H&S Performance

Thanks a million. I'm actually loading up to go to the coast right now but I'll do it when I get home tomorrow. I did try to call H & S this morning before I posted but they are closed (Saturday). Great forum for mechanically not so inclined people like me because of the guys like you, ask and you shall receive.
