2008 exhaust, intake, programmer upgrade help.

My roommate drives a 2008 6.4 liter. He is wanting to put exhaust, intake and a programmer on his truck for performance and to help with fuel mileage. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

H&S for the tuning, either Flo-Pro, Diamond Eye, or AFE for the exhaust, and AFE or S&B for the intake. The Mini Maxx is what we recommend and sell the most of, they are the best all around tuner on the market in my opinion. my first quesion would be is he willing to remove the DPF? if hes not then i suggest leaving it stock.. if he is then there are a lot of diff products out that can improve his HP and MPG...

I agree minus the intake. I dont think you need the Stage 2 intake. I have had just a drop-in AFE and have been fine on Eric's tunes. I have not ran the X-Race, but towing it has not moved.

It all depends on what you plan on using the truck more. I think Eric is the best with the tranny, so towing I love his tunes. I am not into racing my truck, 450 is too big, but his tunes have put out the most power unless something has changed. H&S is pushed a lot here, Spartan was and comes in second on being pushed. The tuners for SCT dont get on the forums very much, Mike (KEM) and Eric (Innovative). I have been told Mike is good also, but have not tested his tunes, been happy with Eric's.

I agree, Eric and Mike are some of the few that have true custom tuning.
