Job 1 Guys what spartan DD tune you using?

What tunes are you guys running as a DD with a 08 Job 1 with stock TCM? what is a safe DD tune with best MPG? thanks in advance!

I've been using the 210, but I don't have a level 3. My truck has lots of engine hours anyway to run higher HP, but I can get 17-20MPG on the highway depending on my ground speed. There is lots of power for my liking, and the tranny is a touch firmer then stock. I love it. Lots of guys are saying the tunes closer to 300hp are making awesome mileage though

yea im on 210 right now bc of towing, i normally run 250 bc of the mileage but the 210 feels safer to me.

The 250 and 275 tunes will net you the best fuel mileage, and should be perfectly safe as long as you drive it like a sane person and keep up with your maintenance.

i mean letting it shift a 2500rpms is that considerd beating on it with these trucks? or should i be letting it shift at like 2 2100? just trying to make sure im not harming anything ya kno, thanks man

Same here I run the 210 - 250 tunes with my level 3 license. Soon ill be doing a full egr delete wastegated so I can run the higher tunes with peace of mind.

how are you guys with idling? do you let it idle at all in you run into a store or the girlfriend wants to sit in the truck with the heat on lol

I use 275 all the time. No problems so far, new update shifts awsome after relearn. 22mpg hand calc'd on a 4 mile trip constant at 74mph

08 Black CC/SB lariat, billet grill inserts, Toyo 35X12.5R20 open country m/t, Newton lift 2.5" front with 5" blocks
Spartan 275, 5" downpipe back SS w/ 18"x6" tip, AFE Stage 2 PG7
4" custom downpipe being made

Not gonna hurt it. My truck was stock until 90,000Mi, and I have 95,000 on it now. It also has the hours listed below... %95 of those hours were before tuning. I bought it from my boss, and it never got shut off in the winter. No problems but Rads

My truck has been on at least a 250hp tune for the last 25k. I really like the 300 for daily driving. 250 has been my tow tune though I was towing locally with the 300 with no issues. trailer was about 12k. If I can get the EGT under control at full throttle. I may not load another tune beside the 300.
