Alright guys, I figured I would start a thread on this since several guys have been experiencing puking with the 275 tune. I have been running the 275 tune as my daily driver for about 10 days now with zero puking. The only difference in my truck and those trucks out there puking is that I do not have EGR coolers on my truck anymore. I do have studs, but there are a few trucks that are also studded that still experience puking. I think it has to be the EGR coolers are the culprit here. Whether the coolers are cracked or the coolers are flash boiling is unknown to me at this point, but my theory at the moment is that is must be the coolers causing the puking issues.
Those of you who are seeing puking, please post up. Make sure to let us know if your truck has the EGR coolers still in place or not. Thanks! |

Mine pukes on the 275 tune when I build a lot of boost (around 48psi). Is there any fix besides egr delete?

Head gaskets would most likely fix the issue.

How does putting new head stud make it stop puking?

Cylinder pressure forcing combustion gases past head gaskets into a water jacket ... over pressurizing the cooling system and puking coolant out the cap.
Studs do a better job of keeping the heads sealed. |
