Noise and shifting issues after H&S install

I have an 09 f250 with the h&s mini maxx, 5inch delete, and intake and have had it tuned for about a week and a half. I have not updated my mini maxx yet but after about a week of driving around the shifting is still really rough around 20 mph....??(any advise). Also i have notice that it seems like my turbo is being used a lot more and the power seems a bit sluggish on the wild setting. And also the last thing is that after i accelerate and let the gas off my truck seems to make a different and more loud sound. (not really sure how to describe it....seems like it is a more hard crackling sound than usual.

Other than those small issues i love the mini maxx. I just wanted to see if anyone has been experiencing these issues also. Crazy how much of a different animal the truck is without all that crap underneath the truck.

What firmware on the mini max are you using 6.4.21 or 6.4.22 ?

If you update your software you will get much improved shifting. The noise when letting off the gas is normal. That is all your boost needing a place to go because there is no blow off valve on our trucks. It always did it you just cant hear it with the stock air filter. If you roll out of the throttle slower it wont do it.

dont want to steel the thread but, i have the 6.4.21 software, is it pretty simple to download and install the updates and or tunes? and i should install the 6.4.22?

It is pretty easy to update, you may want to save all your current files before you update thought. That way if you dont like the way the new update is you can go back to the old one.

I have the 6.4.21 right now but i guess ill update to the 6.4.22 mild software. And the noise that i am hearing isnt the turbo...i understand what the noise is that comes from that. It is more of the engine making a completely different noise than usual diesel sound.

To update all i need to do is just simply take the SD card out of the mini maxx and put it into my computer and upload the new software into the SD card? Im not exactly sure what all i need to do. Can someone give me a list

Also how do I save the file of the 6.4.21 firmware just in case i don't like the new update?

FYI it usually takes 500 miles for the Tranny to go through its re-learning process so shifting might feel odd till it learns the tune.

when you open the drive for the card on your computer just select all of the files on the drive and copy them onto a folder on your computer. For updating you click on the file on the h&s download page for your device that you want, the mild tune just says the latest version or hot damn 300. You will then need to extract all of the files after you download them from the page that should be an option when you right click the folder you just downloaded. After extracting, select all of the files you just downloaded and extracted and copy and paste them over the files that are on your sd card. Then put the card back in your h&s, select update firmware, and then install download.

ok thanks. So just leave all the files in there currently and add the new ones along to it. I dont need to delete them correct?
