Sparton 300 tune track run

I made it to my local track tonight with the 300 tune. I ran the 310 4 times but could not get traction. Best run with 310 was 8.70 at 81mph with a 2.116 60 ft .683 reaction. All 4 tires spun very bad through the 330' mark with the 310. The 300 tune gripped a lot better. This last run was made with a full tank of diesel and 34.5" tires, 3.55 gears and 12 psi launch on the 300. Temp was 89 outside. In kennedale tx. With stock tire pressure on 20's.Fx4 truck

I tried to launch even at 1 psi boost with the 310 but as soon as I got into the throttle it would spin hard then the start to hop in the front. Just couldn't lean into the 310 at all withought spinning.

i recently downloaded the 300 tune on to my truck, and if i just get on it from a rolling start it will roast the tires. i haven't tried a 4wd launch yet, but even on the 300 tune i have traction issues on the street.

You need to get traction bars or caltracs. I have an 8" lift and 38s and my 60ft times were lower and my 1/8 was a 1/10th quicker on the 275 tune 3yrs ago. As soon as you get some traction bars or caltracs you should be able to cut 1.6x 60's and almost cut a half second off your 1/8th. Also try dropping your tire pressure also and you should be good

I am also going to look into some electric or air lockers for the front and rear. I think I will have to go with some traction bars also. My track locs are both gone.

those two would be great options. But how often are you going to be going to the track or serious off-roading to warrant getting lockers. I know its your money and your truck but if you rarely do both your not going to net a huge amount of gain to offset the cost. but then again its your money.

You need to take some air out of the tires for sure. Don't have the 300 but with the 310 I cut a 8.018@85mph with the only mods are CAI. I run 40psi in the front and 30psi in the rear
With my 35" Trail Grapplers I cut a 8.2@82.85mph
I'm launching at about 16 - 18 psi boost
