Best speed / minimaxx setting
hey guys,
I have been reading the forum for about 6 months now and finally have an in depth question that I couldn't find a good answer for by searching. I am from Calgary, ab, Canada and it is legal here to remove my DPF and cat, I will do my best to convert everything to us gallons and miles/hour for you. First my setup: I have a 2008 job 1 f-250 6.4 Lariat 4 door, short box, 4x4, 3.73 axle ratio, 18" rim and stock tire size Goodyear duratracs. I usually get about 300-350 miles out of a tank until the light comes on. I drive approximately 6000-7000 Miles per month (I am an outside sales rep and have to pay for my own fuel) After reading everything on here I bought a Minimaxx and installed DPF and cat delete. In the last 4 months I have noticed almost no difference in mpg. The engine sounds a lot better and I have way more power when I want it so I am happy I did the DPF delete but I have some question now. I do approximate 60% highway and 40% city. When on the highway I am usually between 70 and 80 miles per hour. I have tested running on hot and on the no power setting, seams to make no difference on mpg. What have you guys found is the best speed and tuner setting for mpg? Last edited by Siberjon; 04-18-2011 at 01:33 PM. |

Some say keeping it under 2000 rpms help. I think that's around 65mph for 3.73s if I'm not mistaken.
