H&S Mini Maxx Settings

I just got all my stuff in today from Nate at Performance Truck Products. Ended up getting H&S mini, afe PDS intake, and 5" flo pro with muffler. I can't wait to put it on tomorrow. I was wondering what the best settings on the mini maxx are for daily driving?? I know to set the TC at 45 from what I have read but what are some other main settings that have worked for yall?

Also is the wild setting best for towing?

Have a similar setup -5". I have found "wild" best MPG for daily driving. However, "mild" seems to be better for towing any kind of load (smoother power, egts lower, etc) but could vary. I set the de-fuel parms at 38 for boost, 1200 for egt, 170 for engine oil and trans fluid.

Also, the guys at H&S warned me about the "surging" with the 45mpg TC lockup. Takes a while but you eventually avoid the point it shifts naturally.

Good luck! You'll love it!

What do you mean by surging with 45 TC?

I have my mini set up with the 45TC. Only think is it really doesn't want to be driven at 45 MPH. Keep it below 42 or above 47 and you are fine!

Don't forget your defuel settings! As far as I'm concerned, keeping those set at a moderate level helps ensure you safely drive the truck with less risk of damage.

Alomg with my question above, what is the best way to re-learn your transmission quickly? Should I follow the manual that says:

0-60MPH @ 1/4 throttle position, then slow down and come to a complete stop

0-60MPH @ 1/2 throttle position, then slow down and come to a complete stop

0-80MPH @ wide open throttle position, then slow down and come to a complete stop

or do something else?? Any info on these two question will help.

Thanks

According to the H&S website the 6.4 EGT's are readable through the OBDII port...you shouldn't need an external Pyro probe.

Just because you bendin' strings...doesn't mean your playin' the blues.
