Need Help With a Code

My check engine light came on and I pulled P0401 & P1000, can someone please let me know what this means? Is it safe to drive? Can it be fixed without dealer assistance? To many mods to go to a dealer for warranty.

I tried the search function already but came up with everything from Mass air flow sensor to HPFP to egr.

Thanks in advance for your help.

P0401 is thrown when the EGR flow is below a specified range. You can likely clear the code and see if it returns. If it does, you may need to get the EGR system cleaned or look into a software update and/or replacing some parts parts.

The P1000 is merely a code signifying that all the OBD monitoring tests have not completed yet. Don't worry about this one.

Is the truck stock?

Thanks for the help, guess this finally gives me an excuse to buy an egr delete kit. My truck is not stock but looks like I get to add another mod to the list.
