4.27 VS 4.56

I'm lookin to switch to 4.27, or 4.56 gears. I currently have 3.73, but I'm ridin on 35"s and I think I need upgrade. I had 4.56 in my last SD, but that was a 2000 gas V10. It made a big difference off the line. Can anyone recommend a ratio or tell me if its even worth the dough to switch. Thanks for the help.

with the torque of the diesel you will probly be fine with the 4.27's if you go too low you will start to loose milage

35 is way bigger than stock by about 6 inches in a gasser with 3.55 you have to go up to a 4.56 just to get back to stock with a 35

yeah, the gas v10 hauled off the line but it sure ran high rpms on the highway.
I just don't wan't to waste a G if it wont make that much of a difference. But I also don't want to dog out the 6.0.

With 35's you should probably go with 4.30's or 4.10's. 4.10 will give you less rpm's on the higway and the 4.30's will get you off the line faster.

Yeah me either. I wish I would have went with 4.88's and my 39.5's. But oh well it works out since I'm gonna drop down to 37's and lose some lift so I can haul a gooseneck.
