I went to the track tonight with my truck. Same setup as last weekend at Rudy's when I did 595/1220 on Dunbar's dyno. Tune was a standard 310 TCM file that you get with a level 4 license. No tweaks for my ported fuel rails. Best pass of the night was a 12.48@105.7. All of my passes were made on fuel. My truck doesn't have a nitrous setup and won't see one for a long time. I am extremely happy with the times I ran tonight. Had a couple in the 12.52-12.54 range and few 12.60's. Track conditions were ideal with temps being in the low 50's and high 40's. It seemed the colder it got, the worse off the track was though. It was about 52 degrees when I ran the 12.48 and once it dropped down in to the high to mid 40's, I couldn't get the truck to hook up as well.

Time slip looked like this....

60' - 1.672
330' - 5.003
1/8 - 7.860
MPH - 85.62
1000' - 10.359
1/4 - 12.486
MPH - 105.73

Wow, that is fast! I ran (literally, ran) the 100 meter in 11.1 seconds this week, but a 1/4 mile in 12.48 seconds! That is scootin'! :hehe:

Tailgate off, spare off, receiver hitch off, and no more EGR coolers. Going by a few other trucks that have done the same, I should be right around 7900 lbs with me in the truck.

that's stout ! Impressive

It's back halving 20 MPH, which is pretty consistent with most 6.4's with 3.73 gears and this size tire. RPM gets a little high before going through the traps. I need 3.55 gears pretty bad.

What tire hight did you run

As you get faster and going down the 1/4 mile you can see that the heavy truck doesn't accelerate as fast as a car and the wind hitting it is like hitting a brick wall. Either way its fast and red light to redlight how many cars will keep up? The 1.67 60' time is definately a neck jarring experience.

Congratulations.

Even though the post was deleted asking for me to show proof of my passes, I will post a few time slips (3 best of the night) anyway. :thumb:

hey Jeff, great times. the 310 is running some fast #s. my friends 6.4 ran a 13.0 with the factory 20"s a while back. so he recently switched to a factory set of 17" wheels and ran a 12.696 @ 104.9. intake, tuner, (310 tune), delete pipe, crew cab short bed. your #s and mods are right in line!

Thanks man. The ported fuel rails are just replacements for the factory fuel rails under the valve covers. You have to access the valve covers to do them.

You should be quicker/faster than that with the IDP race tune, especially with a 1.67 60 foot. What altitude are you at? What gearing do you have in your truck? MPH has a lot to do with gearing, but it also has a lot to do with horsepower and truck weight. Your in the 585-600 hp range at least with IDP race tune, so you should easily trap 104 if you have 3.73 gears....assuming you are close to sea level. If not, then that explains a lot.

The track I run at is at 1,000 feet.

Nice times... being form a Mustang community I would say the same thing... would be interesting to load that same tune into a truck with the same suspension/Tire combo, CAi and exhaust but minus the extra mods you have ( Ported rails, CFM Elbow, EGR Delete) just to see how much those mods effect the performance of a truck.

As 08twinturbo pointed out, his friend (who is on PSN and Spartan's forum) ran a 12.69 at close to 105 MPH this past weekend. Truck is pretty much stock other than the 310 tune, intake, and exhaust. I am sure his conditions were a little different than mine also.

Your elevation is 70 feet above sea level....you should be running 12.6X@105 with your setup, especially with a 1.67 60 foot. I ran at 1,004 feet above sea level. I would love to run right at sea level sometime, especially with the weather I ran in the other night. I think a 12.38-12.42 would be possible.
