Quick mini max ??

So I read somewhere you do not need to pay the extra 50 or so dollars to get the pyro connection with the mini max when it is being used in a 08-10 6.4L truck because it uses the factory EGT , and it gets that signal through the OBD2 port there for you do not need the pyro connection ....is this true ?? I spent a while searching last night , and there are too many threads to try to read through them all in the hopes of finding the correct answer , also I would call them directly but I am unable to , due to no phone down here on deployment , so any thanks for any info you can provide

True, you do not need it unless you'd want to choose the placement of a probe yourself. It will otherwise just read one of the stock ones.

Like Triple said, no probe necessary on the 6.4L since it reads the stock sensor.
