Need help Quick Mini Max power cable help

Hey guys, installation went well yesterday. Getting the DPF?CAT off was a ***** going off the ground. Question? can't get power cable to work with the purple capped wire on the far left side. These are the wires that come capped from ford. Also, do you just connect the red wire on the power cord and leave black or do you connect both? I know it sounds stupid but I am more mechanical than electrical. Actually I'm half *** at all but am willing to break stuff.

There are 3 different purple wires. 2 are stripped and one is solid purple, the solid one is the wire you need to splice into to. Just use a T-splice and connect the red power wire from the mini to it and you should be good to go. Hope this helps.

The used the solid purple wire that was capped right by the OBD port. Just took the cap off and wired it up. Works great.

Got it figured out. Bad connector, did not cut through plastic and hit wire. Should've checked first after looking for hot wires checking fuses etc. The capped purple one worked thanks for all your help.
