Congrats on the new tuner! Ive been reading about tuners for quite a while. So what Ive been running my minimax on is the hot tune. The more hp tune is supposed to give you better fuel economy. I havent downloaded the hot damn tune off of h&s's website yet. but to my understanding its supposed to be even more powerful yet. The main thing also is to keep your rpm's at around 2000 or lower, and your boost lower then 20psi.... which is kinda hard to do when you feel the power for the first time haha! Im sure someone else will chime in and help out

Usually the higher the tune, the better the MPG. Now that depends on your foot, TC lock, RPM and Boost. Best MPG - under 2000, lowest boost possible and cruise control.

I just got back from a 1500 mile trip pulling a 16ft. flatbed trailer with 3 HD dressers. I ran the first tank on Wild with the Hot Damn file running 76mph and got 12.7mpg. The next tank I ran the Hot tune same speed got 10.2mpg. The next tank was on the Mild tune and got 12.2mpg. The rest of the trip was on Wild with 12.5mpg. So from what I can tell the Wild is the best for pulling.

How were your temps with the different tunes?

My last two tanks i got 15 mpg. Now I have been running the HOT tune. But recently changed to mild, because I kept my foot in it. I have found in HOT the throttle is very touchy and Louisiana roads arent the smoothest for foot to pedal coordination.

Thanks guys I will try the higher tunes I was running no power or mild but it makes sense the less time the engine is working the get to speed the less fuel used.
