launching a 6.4 on track
got a 08 f250 with a 4" exhaust, s&b intake, sct tunner,8" lift on 35's... looking into getting a custom tune and run it on the track one of this days to see what it does
![]() who makes a resonable priced tune that will be good for everyday driving? and i hear that people launch their truck on 4wheel drive? that seems kind of scarry... will the tranny hold up? what do you guys think about rivercity tunes? |

I have an 8" lift with 38s and have made about 12 passes and a couple pulls on a dyno all on a stock tranny. And my daily driver was the 275 tune from Spartan. On the strip I used 4hi and didn't have any issues and still don't. But I
Have gone on the strip since upgrading my trans and doing other work to the truck but you will be fine. As for river citys tunes i haven't heard anything bad from them but most people run innovative diesel tunes or KEM now for the SCT tuner platform |

Just leave it till you are at the end of the track slowing down. It won't disengage till you slow down anyway.

I believe 4wd doesn't disengage until you are below 30 MPH.

With mine i put it 4x4, build about 10psi then wack it! Moves like a freight train. In 2 wheel drive it blows the tires off.
