Angry MBRP IC Pipe

Just got my MBRP IC pipe today.........After trimming and fitting, it clears the radiator support no problem.......just nothing else.....the mounting tab can not be used to mount it, its no where close...off a good half inch. If you do line it up, the bends are off so far you just look at it and laugh. The closest i can come to make it work is not to use the mounting tab at all, but it still because of the bends sits sandwiched between the side of the radiator and the body. No wiggle room at all, my only worry with this is if it will rub through and or break the side core of the radiator? Just thought this would fit a little better than it does.

If you have any ideas shoot them my way...probably be looking at buying a different one also.

Call Aaron (Rudy's) he will get you set up with what he carries, I installed one and there was no grinding, snug fit but put 1/8" rubber in a couple places and go to go.

What if you took a plate and extened the mounting tab to make it fit. I would probably call MBRP up tho and ask them WTF.

extending the mounting plate wont do anything. To make it fit in anyway i will have to ding the pipe.

I had the same exact problem plus the bends being off and putting the boots in a bind. I ended up buying the pipe from Aaron at Rudy's and couldn't be happier. I sold the MBRP fairly cheap to a member on here, maybe he can modify it to work but I was too frustrated to mess with it.

I have a thread on here about it if your interested.

I had to eliminate the tube's mounting tab intended to be tighten with one of the radiator’s support screws. It didn't align at all and after the work done (disassembly and radiators’ bridge grinding) ended by grinding the welds to eliminate the tab. Really, it doesn't have any space to move, I left the exact space for it. Except for that, it looks great, fits well, and works perfectly. Nothing better than a completely round pipe (the most cross sectional area per perimeter compared with any other shape). I posted some photos in the following thread answering a request.
Mbrp downpipe?
