Question EGR Delete

How much power is the threshold before an EGR delete is recommended?

Are you referring to an EGR delete with wastegate?

If so, I don't think it's needed until you start spraying nitrous or go to bigger turbo's. Studs are needed before a wastegate is in my opinion.

I have an EGR cooler delete on my truck with an Elite CFM+ intake elbow. Drive pressure doesn't get high enough to float valves, so until I go to bigger turbo's I will not be adding a wastegate.

Been thinking real hard about the egr delete and cant decide if I should do the wastegate or not. Between that and studs. I was thinking, and correct me if i'm wrong, but would a wastegate relieve enough pressure that studs wouldnt necessarily be required if driven properly? Isnt high back pressure what mainly causes head gasket puking anyway?
Trying to get the best bang for my buck until I can do more.
Thanks
