XRT Pro Question

I just installed the XRT pro on my truck with the DPF delete today. I was reading in the book though there is overdrive software you can get for the transmission which cost $299.00 extra. Do you need this? Does it effect anything not getting it? Any information would be helpful. Thanks

The overdrive software is for the Cummins. Trans tunning is already built into the tunes for the 6.4 Powerstroke.
