I was thinking the same thing! When I turn the truck off it sounds like the turbo needs greased. It's not the wine, its sounds if something is rubbing the turbo. My 6.0 didnt sound like this.

it could be the turbo surging down, like going from 30+psi down to 0psi. Does is sound almost like a shutter?

Not sure if I'm hearing the same thing but I've been wanting to post about it for a while now... Like if you're at a low speed (so you can hear better) and hammer on it for like 3 seconds then come off the pedal as fast as you can you can hear something really nasty under there... Is there a back pressure flap or something? if you think about it, with turbos spooled up and pumping so much air, then just slamming the throttle shut, that air has to go somewhere. Right?
