TCM tuning difference between Job 1 and Job 2-3?

The KEM 345 tune seems the excellent all around permanent tune at this time. Is it adjusted for a Job 1 vs job 2-3 truck? How can I tell for certain that my truck is a job 1 and has the job 1 TCM. ?? Im serious about the 345 but still researching the "whats and why's" . can anyone shed some light on these questions?

Pretty much all Job 1 TCM tuning is perfected by now. There were problems with them in the past, but not so much now. They are still the flakier of all the TCM's, but the transmission can be tuned just fine with it. I believe that July 2007 was the last month for Job 1 TCM's.

Thanks Jeff, I heard something about the Job1 has a external filter for the trans? Or there is some physical difference down by the transmission?

There is some differences in trans tuning between the Job 1 and later trucks to get the same results. The TCMs are different as are some internal components. Email me your VIN and the four digit code on the TCM and PCM and I will let you know what you have.
