Hey guys I'm looking to do a DPF delete and tuner. I know I've read a lot of good things about H&S and Spartan but I don't have a dealer in the area for either. I can easily get an Edge Race Evolution CS and am wondering if they are bad or just not quite as good as the other 2. I know I can buy the others online but it would be nice to have the local support. Any info would be great. I don't want to do something to the truck I would regret.

Some folks are Happy with Edge tuners, but I would go the route of Spartan or H&S.

Call Nate at PTP. He is located in Texas. You really don't need local support. These are plug and play units, and the DPF removal is pretty straight forward. If you need help, Nate is more than willing to assist over the phone, and so is Spartan. There is alos a wealth of information how how to do this on this very site.

I don't know much about H&S CS, but hear they are pretty great as well.

The Edge is a decent unit, but does not have trans tuning or the power H&S or Spartan do. I highly suggest going with H&S or Spartan, we can help with tech or the manufacturers are just a call away as well. They are very simple to use.

Thanks so much guys. This is the type of info I was looking for. I love the fact that no one here is bashing the other guys product simply pointing out the differences. I had not thought about the trans tuning and to be honest I'm not sure what it does. Also while we are kind of on the subject can these tuners work in tandem with items like Banks Speed Brake or an exhaust brake. This truck will be towing a 30ft 8000lbs travel trailer in the summer as well as a flat deck skid steer(12000lbs) in summer and winter. I love the built in brake controller and am not sure what affect any of these items will have on that unit. Sorry as you can tell I have many questions. Good news is I learn fast.
