update my mini.

ok, so i went online and updated my minimax. loaded the hot damn tune and changed my lock-up from 55 to 50. w/in 2 miles i did the relearn thing for the tranny like hands says, while doing the WOT at the very end (bout 80mph) the mini made a beep noise which i never heard b4. checked the dtcs, nothing showed up. also the lockup still seems to b at 55 not 50 like i loaded. what do u think?

Could be you ran up against a defuel setting. Check what the setting are on your unit. Start with the pyro then boost.

dont mean to sound like a dummy, how do i check? just put the thing in bout week ago. still learning.

You can do this with the ignition off. Just turn on the switch at the plug going into the obd port. On the left side you will see menu, press this then you will see, "Set Defuel levels". Once there you can scroll down to set pyro, engine coolant etc. Your not a dummy. Dummy's don't ask questions and just dive in a break things.

how can i tell which one that i hit? it still has the factory settings. what numbers should i set them at?

The two most likely are pyro 1 and boost. I would set the pyro at 1350 and the boost at 40. If you are running the hot or hot damn tunes you will probably run up against these numbers. It's your motor. Some on here will tell you higher numbers. They might be right. You set them at what you feel comfortable with.

just went out to the truck w/ a co-worker(yea, im at wrk) pyro is set at 1450 coolant set a 220. both from h$s. boost refuel says that it is off. however book says its set at 23(i think). if boost is off, wiill it still beep?

If it is off, it will not defuel.

I'll bet you hit the noted egt and defueled.

I remember correctly I set my boost to 45ish and EGT at 1350ish.
Those numbers seem to be RIGHT over what it will push during a good stomping but not a ragging.

I have my Pyro set at 1350 as well but Boost I put down to 40PSI.... I just drive the truck in MILD until I really wanna play then I turn it to HOT.... I would like to download the trans files and have the converter lock up at 45MPH.... anyone do this yet?? the MINI MAXX is a GREAT unit...
