Black Maxx & Exhaust

Planning on getting the Black Maxx and new exhaust set up. I am planning on going with the 5" exhaust and was wondering how difficult it is to change the stock downpipe to the 4" downpipe?

You dont have to change the stock down pipe with the 5" down pipe back exhaust kit, you can leave it in place. You can buy one separately and install it though, install isnt too bad. People have done write-ups here, do a search and you should have plenty of reading.

Same here. We tried to get it out in one piece for a good half hour then said screw it and started cutting.

I would only recommend doing the aftermarket downpipe if you are out of warranty because it is a permanent modification. You can do 5" exhaust with or without doing the downpipe. If you do the downpipe, you will need to cut it out and you will install a new 2 piece version.
