Boost @ 42 psi?

Hey guy's'
I was watching my boost on the way home from work, and wanted to see how high it would get with the HOT TUNE at WOT. How high is too high for boost? Cuz it peaked out at 42psi. Thats what the maxx recorded. I'm still trying to relearn how to drive this beast. Having lots of fun, like yall all said, it is like getting a new truck. My 6.0 with SCT cant even come close to my 6.4 on da flo.

42 psi is only a little more than what a stock truck can make. 50+ is when you should back off.

C'mon you have 2 turbos 50psi should be no problem. Stock they make 38-42 so 50 should be a piece of cake.

The most boost I have ever hit was 56 psi, and that was with an old 310 test file. I had just done a 4" downpipe upgrade and went out on the highway to test boost out, rolled in to it, and my mechanical gauge showed me 56 psi and held for a second. When I stopped, my truck had puked quite a bit.

Our new tunes won't hit that kind of boost so easily.

Thanks Jeff,
I just tuned the truck, so this is all still new to me, on how high these gauges can ran at a safe permeter.

A brake boosted roll on from 75mph gets me 60psi for a little and then it drops back to 56. Does not puke a drop as long as I am full throttle. I am planning studs, egr delete/ waste gate soon.

I try to keep it under 40 towing.
