airdog II install dump truck method phase 1
Phase 1 "lift the bed to get to the tank Cap. Time involved, 1hr.
This has been the fun part for me. ![]() Remove the 6 front Torx 50 Bolts and leave the 2 rear ones with a few threads into the nut underneath so the bed wont slide Off. ![]() The bed raised this far gives plenty of room to get the oem quick's off and the airdog lines On. ![]() Just remove the fill lines, no need to remove the whole fill assy. ![]() Theres the 2 Boys in there ready for disconnect. One line is larger than the other, not possible to connect the wrong line. If you connect and route the supplied lines to the tank first, You can lower the bed, or leave the bed up if you want the luxury of "Head Room". Ill be posting the next steps asap. Hope I dont get doused with fuel disconnecting the oem pump, Ill be cussing like a Marine corps drill sgt ![]() cont'd on my other thread airdog II 165 install, finish Last edited by Vettester; 01-31-2011 at 05:12 PM. |

When we did my Air Dog install, we removed the bed completely. Not necessary, but it made it completely accessible.
