SCT Livewire Extreme Shifting ???

I have been running the tow tune set on factory shifting for the last 5k miles and been pretty happy. I finally got the balls to try the extreme tune and it seems to shift very bad. I have it set on (race/firm) I'm afraid it is going to destroy my tranny. Around 40mph it seems like the converter locks and unlocks by itself and under any partial throttle the shift just seems to slip into the next gear. Can't be good. I love the power output of the extreme tune but it seems unusable with the shifting the way it is. I bought the tuner 9625or new approx a year ago. Is there an update to fix this shifting or do I need to get custom tunes to fix this? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Do you just have the tunes the livewire comes with?

Yeah I just have the canned tunes. I'm plenty happy with the extreme power level, but the shifting is horrible. If you program it with stock it shifts better than firm through the first few gears but then seems to slip alot in 4th and 5th. The firm shifting setting is good when you select tow/haul, but I'm not going to drive around in tow/haul everyday. I've read a few of the other threads on this and they really don't get resolved. If anyone has resolved this w/out spending more money on custom tuning please let me know. Thank you
