For the last few weeks, I have been running the 310. I figured if its going to shift hard it might as well be for a reason. Well now that the trans is well learned. It is shifting beautiful. I am amazed. Light throttle shifts are quick and firm just the way they should be and full throttle is very good considering the stock trans. Throttle response is good and power is amazing. I was very happy other than one issue.
For what ever reason, the exhaust pressure is spiking to 85 psi at 1/4 throttle and making the truck puke. I have been trying to drive around it, but its getting annoying.
I did eight back to back runs from 0-80mph or so. First was full throttle out of the hole in 4 high. 4 times in a row. Never puked a drop. Then four 1/4-1/3 throttle runs, every one the truck puked about 1.5" of coolant. It something to do with spike in ebp.
So here is where I get really pissed off. I called Spartan. Looking for information to if something in the tune could be changed to lower the ebp at that point. Mainly sense I have never seen the ebp anywhere near that high with ANY tune I have ever ran. I even explain that I have had some shifting issues that I have not been happy about, but the 310 was amazing on the truck. JUst one little issue needed to be fixed. The answer I got was thats how the tune is. Even after explaining that I was not happy with that answer, it was repeated again. I even offered to pay to have the tune changed. The whole call took less than 5 minutes sense all that happen was me being rushed off the line while the guy was talking to someone else in the back ground.
I have never in my life been so disappointed in an aftermarket company that I have spent $1700 with. I guess I at least get a nice monitor out of he deal. I am done dealing with Spartan. I will just go about with my piss poor tunes sense I can't even sell the tuner because of the amount of money it will cost the next person to use it. I guess that my truck is a little harder to get right being a job 1 build. But that for no reason should mean I just get left hanging here. I spent and extra $400 on race tunes. My 275 shifts like crap, and runs great. The 310 has a running issue and shifts great. I always get one or the other. Why cant I just get a damn tune that runs and shifts good at the same time?
I have had issues with other tunes from other companys. They have worked with me to make the tune as good as possible and even send me different tunes that worked better for me. I went to spartan because I was told they were the best of the best. So I forked out the money for nothing better than I already had. Back to finding another livewire that almost ANYONE can tune

Hey, not trying to tell you what to do but call Mike and get the LATEST revision of the 345. No less. It is very smooth and very strong. My 3 trucks have never puked. Ebp never over 75 at any throttle position. I have all of the spartan tunes but only use my dashdaq to load my 345 now. I am not bashing spartan, because my 275v3 has been great. But the 345 is even better. You won't be disappointed.
Also, my job1 shifts better than it ever has.
