Head Gasket and Spartan Tuner
I have a 2009 F-250 CCSB, with the 6.4L engine. I was thinking about adding the Spartan system. I was told by someone that I should replace the old head gasket and head bolts, so that the engine can handle the extra power. Should I consider this or is the stock setup good enough. Was there any head gasket issue with this year engine? Thats why I got rid of my 6.0 truck.

Its still possible to blow headgaskets. I did on mine and have since got EGR delete with wastegate 4" dp and ARP headstuds along with Sun Coast transmission.

if you plan on dragging it with high hp tune then yea you might as well go ahead and change gaskets and studs.if you are just using it for what trucks are used for(towing and normal driving) i would say you should be ok.the only people i have noticed with head problems were the guys at the track every weekend.thats what i have read and my opinion.but you should do some research and make your own decisions.
