Just Bought SCT tuner and DPF/Cat Delete Pipe: Opinions Please

Be nice as I'm a first time diesel owner and I'm trying to educate myself. Anyway I just Purchased a 2008 F250 CC 4x4 w the 6.4L Power Stroke. Man reading all the stuff on different TUNERS can be really mind BOGGLING to a NEWBIE ! I found a DPF/CAT delete pipe on craigslist for $75 that will mount to my stock stuff. After reading thousands of post I went with the SCT tuner (hard decision). I have a highly recommended gentleman in my area of TEXAS putting it in. After telling him my main concern was mpg and hp second as I don't race or anything but do pull a 5th wheel 7 or 8 times a year. He said I needed the SCT that will give me 100hp boost and is compatible for the dpf/cat delete. He sold me the tuner for $650 and will charge $175 to put it all in. So I will be out $900 when all is done.
First:
Is the set up I chose good for what I'm trying to accomplish ?
Second:
Is the price right?

I know there are different feeling on tuners but I took many things into consideration and like I said it was mind boggling.

The price looks good. Not having to do the work yourself is worth something also. I think you did good.

I think you would be much happier with the performance and features H&S has to offer with the Mini or Black Maxx. You will pay more for them, but they are well worth it in my opinion.

I love my H&S XRT Pro and it was just a little more than the SCT

Thanks to the ones on here that are actually answering my questions. As I stated in my thread I understand there are more tuners and it came down to H&S or SCT. The only difference in the two (according to the experts) are basically comfort features such as shift on the fly, monitor not being so bulky, and so on. I wasn't willing to spend $200+ extra for the mini max -- $400 extra for the black max for that. Plus I was told H&S could be traceable by the dealer and the SCT is not.

Yes to both your questions.
If you ever want custom tunes, I would call Eric at innovative. I have his tuning in my 6.4 and had it in my 6.0. He can tune great. His tow tune is almost perfect to what I want in one. It would be perfect if he can give me the turbo brake I had in my 6.0. But overall the tow tune has great power, doesnt get close to hot in EGT's, tranny stays well below 200 towing in the hills, and keeps the torque converter locked alot which helps with slow down.
