Exhaust diameter -Mpg

My delete pipes are stock diameter and I am still running stock tailpipe. Would a larger pipe help mpg, I wouldn't think it would do much other than lower egts but Im reaching for some better mileage.

Doing a 4" downpipe into a 4" downpipe back exhaust with no muffler might help some, but I wouldn't think it would be anything major.

How big a pain is removing and installing the downpipe? I cut my 6.0's off to make it easier, don't want to do that on my 6.4. Thanks

There is a way to do it without cutting it, but I think it involves moving the transmission over some.....or you can pull the cab to replace it lol

I just cut mine. If you get a ball and socked style downpipe, it will bolt up to your DPF if you needed to go to the dealer for anything.
