Best towing setup

My 2010 is all stock and I am getting ready to do some things to it. I tow a heavy toy hauler and am looking to shut my friend up who just one upped me and got a 2011 F-450 and tows a similar toy box. he had the 400/800 update done to his and I cant even come close to keeping up with him on the hills. I will get the S&B intake and the dpf/cat delete pipe but I am confused about which tune is best for towing heavy. Any help is appreciated.

We offer a 210 Tow Performance tune with our tuner. It was designed with heavy loads behind our company F-450. Excellent towing tune.

I would look at either an H&S Mini Maxx or Spartan. Both have excellent tunes for towing/mileage as well as monitors to keep an eye on the engines vitals. You will be very happy with either one.

I have an 08 450 with Eric at Innovative tunes. His tow tune is great, love it. Tow 18000+.
I am amazed that H&S and Spartan are really the only one pushed on the forums.
Eric tuned my 6.0 also, love his tuning. I am not into racing, more so about reliability and towing. I cant tow with to much more power up the grades I tow, truck would get too hot.
For power the tow tune is great I gained almost 10 mph up one of the steepest grades I tow. If you want to look it is 166 between I-5 and 101. I used to drop down to about 43 or so stock, truck backed down, I think from EGT's blurping 1400. Now I have to try to get to 1250. Less throttle and fuel used. I am sure the others are good, but I would research and choose for yourself. My exhaust came from Nate (DSTRBD) above. Great guy.

Yes sir. I dynoed a similar tune back in October and it made 470 on the dyno with 35" tires.
