Programmer, exhaust?

whats going on guys? im new to this site and i have a couple questions. i just bought an 09' 350 from a guy at work and the only thing it has performance wise is a cold air intake. i would like to do the complete exhaust with down-pipe and all deletes along with a programmer probably spartan. my worry is the whole thing ive been reading with the warranty stuff. the truck has 32k on it and ive read how some do exhaust and would swap it out if warranty work need be done. is there a limit to add on's you want to do to keep from voiding the warranty? any help would be appreciated. thanks

well basically as soon as u program it u void the warrany, ( technically), i have everything you are talking about doing, i had a bad injector, took it to the dealer, dealer replaced it under warranty, never said a word. How ever if it was a bigger issue like a turbo or head i would return to stock. u will most likely have less problems when u dp a delete and a tuner.

The guy that I bought this truck from was totally against programmers. He said something about warping heads. Are there things that can be done to "beef" up the oem to I guess help prevent things such as that. I've got buddies with programmers and I'm a huge fan I just don't want to turn my dream truck into a waste of money

your trucks an 09, u wont blow a head with the spartan 275 or the hot tune on h&s, u wont even hurt your tranny at those, if your worried you can do head studs put unless your pushing over 550 horse poer you shouldnt be worried, and trust me i am worried about the same thing, i have an 08 with a later build date aand i only daily drive the mild to wild tune on the black max because i dont want to risk anything but i got to tell you its a whole new truck!

I had the same worries as you. The tow tune from Innovative stays in my truck. The truck is mostly used for towing, so switching tunes all the time is not a benefit to me. With all the crap off the truck, it runs cooler.
In stock the regen would get over 1400 for a few then the truck would back down.
With the tow tune towing 18000+ over steep grades I have to try to get it to 1250.
I am sure it will be a little warmer in the summer, but I doubt too much.

There is a bad taste left in the mouth of some dealers due to the 6.0L, but the 6.4L does not suffer from the same issues. There are a ton of dealers out there willing to work with you, some dont even look or care about mods. Your 6.4L is damn near bullet proof as long as you dont abuse it.
