tired of regen and bad mileage
Ok, so I am looking for opinions. I'm looking at doing a dpf delete. I'm sick of this regen crap. I don't race or want the fastest truck on the road. I'm looking for a better sounding exhaust (not crazy loud), better mileage, and little more power. But I want to keep the reliability and workability of the truck. What yalls oppinions?

I want to do the same thing. Keep stock intake, just delete cat/dpf sock exhaust and run programmer. I looked into an H&S mini maxx and delete piping and price was just over a grand. I think this setup will work fine.

I searched and read reviews till my eyes were bleeding on this subject and ended up doing the H&S mini maxx, AFE intake with a 5" Flo pro with muffler and sounds and runs great. Fuel MPG is up and no more dumping fuel into the oil with regen. I went with H&S due to there customer service and shift on the fly which is nice if someone else is driving my truck(wifey).

I just got my minimax... ordered the dpf/doc pipe but havent got that yet. When they say mini they aint kidding! holy cow that thing is tiny!

I have about 8000mi on Super Chips racing tuner. Very happy with milage improvments, shifting, power etc. I have only been using there level 2 tune they do have a tow and performance tunes not for me though. I do have a doc/dpf delete with stock muffler/exhaust it does sound like a hairdryer. Not sure how big exhaust you need to get rid of that. This tuner is a little cheaper than others, but if you want to monitor engine parameters you would need to buy an edge cs/cts or somthing similiar.

I have just a delete/doc pipe and SCT tuner from River City Diesel on stock exhaust and stock intake with a K+N drop in filter and love the setup. I have there custom 450hp econo/tow tune. Truck is ten times better (power, mpg's, and shifting) and was right around $1000 including taxes.

I can't tell yet its been to hard to keep my foot outta the skinny pedal. My dash read out has gone to like 21 mpg but I'm sure that's wrong. Now that the new has worn off I can get accurate hand calculated mpg.

my dash reads 27 on the highway, with a cap on the back, hand calculated im just above 21 mpg, some people havent seen these improvements and only see around 18... i get 17 around town, or pulling my 2 waverunners to the lake. Honestly i would do a dpf/cat delete the h&s xrt, and an intake( for what you want), You are only hurting your truck by not adding the intake, and its like a 25 minute install.
