EGR delete

I am thinking about a EGR delete, what else will need to be done for this to allow my truck to run correctly, and where should I start to look for the parts to do the job.

You will need the correct tuning. Are you planning on doing a a full EGR delete w/wastegate or are you doing an EGR cooler delete?

All you will need is the correct tunes for the setup.

try mkmcustoms.com

Also, I just did a Delete kit myself - depending on what year your truck is, doing a delete kit will throw codes/warning, etc. and you will have to re-program the computer to get them to go away. (or something like that?) I have an 03 so I was fine.

Google is your friend.

Research it a bit, its not as simple as just installing a Delete kit for your EGR for the later more computerized models.

You cannot do an EGR delete without having a tuner on the truck to shut the codes off. I guess you could do an EGR delete with the DPF still on the truck (tuned for the EGR delete of course), but I don't see what the point would be.

Do the egr systems cause problems on the 6.4 like they did the 6.0? I been thinking what else I want to do to the truck this year and debating on doing this. I like the idea of the egr delete with wastegate but I don't think I want to do that to my truck just yet. My luck as soon as I do that, they will start doing emmisions testing where I live.
