block heater
I just read that most newer trucks have the heater already installed, but no cord, Can anyone verify this? And how to tell if it is there? Thanks for any help, Dave

Look just above the starter. If you see an orange cord plugged into the side of the block, you have the cord and just need to find the end of it. It will be somewhere behind the front bumber. If you see a silver round sleeve with 2 round electrical posts in the center, thats the heater with no cord. Ebay has cords for 25 bucks. Just got mine and installed it last week.

If you have smaller hands that I do you can install it easier. I considered pulling the starter to give me more access but the stuborn in me said hell with that and I did eventually get it. Took 30 minutes....
